Do you have one Resort that you call Home? Do you tend to stay at this same Resort each trip or do you like to try different ones? While there are some resorts I like better than others I am personally hoping to stay at all of the Resorts at least once. How about you?

We have stayed at alot of different resorts but tend to go back to WL and CBR. I would probably have to say WL. I just love the theming there especially for the holidays. We just became DVC members with Saratoga Springs our home resort so I think our stays will change somewhat now.

Although we have stayed at a number of Disney Resorts - right now I would have to say that our heart belongs to AKL. I just love everything about the resort and when I close my eyes and picture myself staying at WDW that is where I am.

We have tried AKL, WL, GF, Disney Institute and YC.

YC has our heart. We just love it there- the location, Stormalong Bay and the nautical theming. Now, after joining DVC - (owning at BCV and VWL) we won't be staying there (specifically) too often, but we can still visit and staying at BCV is sure a great substitute! ;) WDW has SOO many great resorts, we have found something special with each one.

Animal Kingdom Lodge owns my heart, but Boardwalk Villas owns my pocketbook.

I'm really thrilled to call BWV's home, but I do forsee that we will eventually stay at all the DVC resorts, and probably try new Disney hotels, and return to Animal Kingdom lodge on some of the weekends.

Polynesian is where I call home. We have stayed at the CB, DL and PO which were perfectly fine but not home to us. We visit other resorts and have thought about trying another resort but always end up back at the Polynesian. I love the tropical feel. I also love watching the castle change colors, the fireworks, and the water parade, all from my very own balcony.

When I did hypnotism and was told to picture myself someplace relaxing, I was on the beach at the Polynesian. I feel completely at ease there.

I couldn't have said it better, except it's just tough to beat that short walk "home" after the fireworks at Epcot!

Margaret,

I also would love to stay at each and every disney resort eventually. Right now, the WL is where we call home. Can't really pinpoint why, but when we pull up we all get the warm happy feeling of returning home.

Home is where I hang my ears, so any of the resorts is home to me. Hoping to someday stay in all the resorts, but right now budgeting for frequent short trips is what I am into, so that means a moderate for us. As soon as I see the WDW signs, I know I am "home", in my happy place!!

Weve stayed at Contemporary once and Beach CLub twice. So I guess by going twice thats our home? One thing by going a second time to beach club we got a truley great upgrade for free. And she said it was because we was a repeat guest. We got Consierge for our 8 night stay for free upgrade. The first time we stayed 9 nights. Im unsure if its the repeat at that one resort that got us the upgrade or repeat to Delux that got it. I asked for nothing special and didnt even send in a fax request and got this. She said its our lucky day when we checked in because we got this upgrade. She said it was because we are repeat visitors and Disney knows this type of information.

By the way that trip was booked by Tink1 at Magical journies and I often suspect she had something to do with it too.

I've stayed so far at Riverside (then Dixie Landings), Port Orleans, CBR, WL, WLV, Contemporary, AKL, and All Stars Music, and Wilderness Lodge truly feels like home. I think it's because of the pine trees. With kids AKL is now my preference.

The Beach Club is my home at WDW. We've not only stayed there at least 5 times (!) but we've gotten half my family to stay there too! Everyone has just loved it. In December I'm going on Vacation (away from home) by staying at the Poly.

We have always considered the Carribbean Beach our home. we have stayed there over 20 times and until 2001 had never stayed anyplace else. Then in 2001 we got the special offer to certain states and got to stay at the Contemporary. Last year we were to go back to the CBR but were displaced to the Polynesian. How hard is that to take. Since our trips are now only once a year we decided we wanted to stay on the monorail and are going back to the Contemporary. I still love the CBR, but we need the convenience of the monorail resorts now.

Most of our stays have been at CBR and we really do like it. We are comfortable with the layout (usually stay in Trinidad North), like the choices for breakfast at the food court, love the grounds and in spite of some complaints from people who have stayed there, we've never had a problem with the transportaion.
If money were no object, we'd definitely stay at some (OR ALL !!) in the deluxe category. But I really do like the feeling of "honey, I'm home" when we pull into CBR.
