Here's a thread starter:

Where are your favorite hidden spots at the Disney Resorts??

Is there a special place where you can go to relax? A spot or trail that is hard to find? What about a bit of resort trivia that most people may not know?

DO Tell!

My favorite is Parrot Kay at the CBR. Though many people walk across it to go to OPR, we rarely found people actually touring this little island paradise. On one side is a sand pit that is fun for the kids to play in and a shelter for the parents to get some shade. On the other side, there is a beautiful gazeebo where you can go in the evenings and sit and relax and look at the stars. Not to mention, various birds live in the this area and Disney has hidden speakers where you can hear faint calypso music - VERY romantic! ;)

Well, not SECRET by any means but a favorite spot....................in a nice big rocking chair in front of the huge fireplace in the lobby of WL!!!! Great on a cold day.

Also, we found all the courtyards at CS to be very peaceful and the garden beds were beautiful.

Suzy and Cinderella, your spots all sound like places worth seeking out.

They're not really secret spots, but I have two favorite porches (so far) at Disney World. The first is at the Yacht Club. It's got big white wooden rockers, with lovely gardens nearby. On a hot sunny day, this is a nice place to sit with a lime rickey from Beaches & Cream. Just a fun place to relax. The second is the porch at the WL Villas. Bliss! So peaceful. The rotunda and game rooms on the first floor of the WL Villas building are all worth exploring, too. Lots of fun details to discover.

Ooooh, Sandi, lime rickeys are my favorite!

One of my favorites is the little alcoves on the balcony/mezzanine level of the main building at the GF. Down by where the live band is so often playing are some romantic seating nooks that are just big enough to dance to the music if you get carried away...

Taking tea at the GF is another surprisingly romantic, peaceful, and restoring time.

But my favorite is the path from the BC to Epcot. It seems that most people go on the main road, but we always walk along the river. There are flowers growing on either side and speakers that bring the music of Epcot to you in a subtle way. The fleur de lis garden and "Eiffel Tower" come into view, a boat passes, and we are always hand-in-hand.

Here's an interesting (and seasonal factoid): The Grand Floridian has the largest Christmas tree on property; standing at 96 feet tall!
