Hi guys! In lieu of doing a full blown trip report, I decided to do a Photoshow. It's kind of a trip report via photos and music. There will be two different versions posted here. We wanted to use one with a song that is special to us, but you can only view that version if you have a cable modem. I think the MP3 file is just too big for dialup.

Here's the link for that... Hilton Head Island Photoshow (http://www.nsgllc.com/html/Disney's_Hilton_Head_Island_Resort/flash_detected.html)

There is another version for if you have a dialup modem. It just uses a Photoshow MP3 and I think not as many cool transition effects.

HHI Photoshow dialup version (http://www.photoshow.net/redir_ss.php?show=DwxaTkJwc)

I hope you enjoy viewing these. It's almost like online scrapbooking. :D

We had a great time in HHI! Disney's resort is absolutely beautiful. The cast members there are superb, and they make it so much fun. We enjoyed great meals at Giuseppi's, Captain's Seafood, and Sticky Fingers. We had an OK, but probably won't return there meal at Old Oyster Factory. The kids meals there were almost inedible. Scott Henry's dolphin tour was incredible! He is so friendly and knowledgeable. This is definitely worth doing. :D Scott is doing the tours for Disney now, and he has his own website at www.lowcountrynaturetours.com

We'll definitely be going back to DHHIR again!!! :D

Thanks guys, we did have a lot of fun, and the pictures just make for reliving great memories.

disneylover, although the resort is a DVC resort, they also book rooms for guests. As a matter of fact we stayed on a CRO booked cash basis for this trip, because we got such a great deal with the Disney Visa offer. It'll probably be hard to get in during June-August, but we found October (low season) a beautiful time to visit. Since you are so close, I think it would make a really nice long weekend trip. :D

Anna Kate's elbow healed nicely. It healed so well that she's gone back to using that left hand as her dominant hand. I guess we'll see how that turns out.

Alicia,

I'm glad you had a great time. Your family is beautiful and they all seem to have enjoyed your stay. Your pictures were so well done that they make me home sick for HH and we don't even own there. We've stayed there 6 times so far and I go again in a minute. You did a great job of capturing the resort & beach house. The PhotShow was very entertaining, escially with your little add-ons.

Giuseppi's is one of our favorites restuarants. What was wrong with Oyster Factory? We've eaten there before and had a good meal. Should we avoid it from now on?

Thanks for sharing.

Of course, having such great core material really puts it over the top! You guys look like you had the best time ever! HHI has moved WAY up on the 'gotta stay there' list! :)

Thank you so much, guys! :D It really was a labor of love. The comment on "core material" means a lot coming from the master of slideshows himself. I know my camera and photograpy skills are nowhere close to yours, Dave, but I tried to get as many pictures as I could of what HHI had to offer, and what it meant to us.

Twirlergirl, please don't avoid the Old Oyster Factory. My filet mignon there was excellent, John's seafood was good, and the salad we shared was incredible. :eat: I highly recommend the tomato and vidalia salad! It was just the kids seafood which was cold and tough. They had the same thing a few nights later at Captain's Seafood, and ate every bite. Thank you for all the pre trip info you gave regarding HHI. It helped a lot. :D

Alicia -- What a great Photoshow! You have truly captured the essence of Disney's HHI Resort. We just love our yearly trips there -- went last August and after watching your Photoshow, I can hardly wait to get back again next July. We're thinking of getting on a waitlist for more points there. You have a beautiful family, and I am so glad that you enjoyed HHI. It is really a different type of vacation experience, isn't it? Again, thanks for the fantastic Photoshow -- pictures and music were marvelous! Sorry for the delayed response to your post, but we just got back from BWV.
