OK...so I was able to book our cruise plans today for our May 13-20 cruise. It is our first 7day cruise and I noticed that we are allowed to book a tea, brunch and dinner reservation at Palo's during the 7 day. So, needless to say I booked one of each. Has anyone done the brunch or the tea? I would like to try them both but would like some feedback on what others think of them.

Thanks for your help!!!!

We did Brunch and loved it! The food was wonderful, displayed well, service perfect. I looked at the Tea also - I love High Tea but the group decided for the Brunch. I don't think you can go wrong with anything at Palo's.

I have done both, and I have to say that the brunch wins hands down. The tea was "nice", but it wasn't anything special (for me). High tea at the Grand Floridian during Mousefest was SO much better (but, maybe it was the company :-)).

It is a challenge for me to make sure that I am dressed up at a specific time in the middle of the day on a cruise. If I only picked one (which I did for this trip), I would pick brunch.

I am booked for brunch on Mother's day. I can't wait.

Never did the tea, but we think the brunch is a must do. We enjoy it every bit as much as dinner at Palo's.

Thanks for the info....

Amy...I was hoping to get Brunch for Mother's Day but couldn't get it. That's why I took the Tea. I really wanted to do something on MOther's Day but didn't want to do dinner as I wanted to do that with the kids. I have Brunch on Monday the 15th and then we have Palo dinner on the 18th.
Are you on the 7 day Eastern as well...or are you doing the 4day?

Maybe I'll see you there? Or maybe our kids will be in the clubs together??

Brunch! I would do brunch instead of dinner. dinner was nice but BRUNCH - oh la la - that 'stollen' slathered with raspberry jam and piled with whipped cream and fresh berries. OH MY!

Another vote that Brunch is a must do! (i have some pics from it posted in the food gallery). Mom and I had the best time; next time I think we'll skip Palo dinner and just do the Brunch!

Haven't done the tea, so I can't give any opinions on that. Have a wonderful cruise!

Tea on Mother's Day will be great too. As long as you catch the brunch at some point.

My daughter will be 8 on the cruise. I doubt she will spend an extended amount of time in the kids club (this trip is a chance to spend time with her grandmother who is a pretty severe stroke patient). We're pretty easy to spot -- a group of 10 with 4 kids and grandma in a wheelchair. I'm sure we'll bump into each other.

Amy...if i see you in the terminal I will stop and say "hi". We get in to MCO around 10am that morning and then are driving to the port. Went we went in December they let us on just before noon so we are hoping to do so again. It was really dead for awhile and the kids got to enjoy having the pool all to themselves.

Your daughter is right between my kids...DS will have just turned 10 and DD will be almost 7. SO I guess they wouldn't be in the same clubs anyways. Oh well...I'm sure we will run into you.

Looking forward to meeting you, Melissa. It is going to be a great cruise.

Your 10 year old might be in the same age group as Leia. I don't remember what the cut off is. I thought the grouping was 8-11, but I could be wrong.

Have to agree on brunch. Usulinda is so right about the stollen. I found the whole meal better than the dinner.

and I agree with Amy that the tea wasn't anything special.

I TOTALLY agree with you. The GF Tea is a really special occasion and very well done. I was actually disappointed in the Palo tea in comparison. And that's not meant as a slight to Palo as much as it's high marks for the GF tea.

The Brunch at Palo is NOT TO BE MISSED. In fact, I'd almost rather have brunch there than dinner LOL. They will show you around the food offerings and just when you think there couldn't be any more, they tell you about the hot entrees. Oh and try the fruit pizza.. it's quite good and not very sweet! Heck, try all the pizzas LOL.

Oh yes, I totally agree with Deb

Brunch is to die for

On our June 10th cruise we have Palos booked for Brunch twice and will try for the 3rd day once we get onboard.

We won't be doing dinner at Palos this time around

And again, yes, try all the Pizzas - you'll not regret it
