I've never done it Margaret, (we never seem to have enough time) but it always sounded like a good deal to me.

I've done the Movie & Meal deal at Universal but without the Entertainment Book. I just recently heard that they had coupons for it in the book. What is the deal in the book?
You go to Guest Services and buy the package. They give you a pass for dinner and a pass for movie.
We went to Pastamore. We couldn't tell if we received the same size portion as everyone else, but it was a good serving size. Our waitress treated us very well even though she knew she was already guaranteed a tip. I figured they gave her 18%, and we did add to it because the service was very good. However, the food itself was edible, but not something I would ever go back for. Next time I'd try one of the other places.
The worst thing about the deal was the movie theater. We went in May/June to see Star Wars and it was way too HOT!!!! It felt like no air at all. I asked them to adjust the air and they did, but it still wasn't great. Actually though I think they have (or were having) issues with air conditioning there because all the stores we looked around in were very hot.

The deal in the book is a free Movie & Meal Pass so even if we don't go the movies I am all for the free meal! We are planning on going to Margaritaville & Latin Quarter so this will work out great for us.

I have the Atlanta book & it is in it. I read on another board that it should be in all Entertainment Books. I am going to see if anyone at work has one that would be willing to give me theirs. It does not say 1 per table.

Oooh! I checked and it's in my local book too. And even better, this one doesn't expire until Dec 31, 2006, unlike most of the other Ent coupons.

Does it say "Buy 1 get 1 Free"? Or just a coupon for a free package.
If you don't have to purchase anything to use it, I bet it is a misprint - I've seen misprints in Entertainment Books before. If that is really what it is, I would call Universal Guest Services and check before buying a book just for that coupon - getting them from someone else is a different story.
I've ended up with a few Entertainment Coupons that were printed wrong, or shouldn't have even been in the book. None of the places honored them either. One place gave me a number to call and complain, because they were not happy with the Entertainment books for doing that because they had many people blaming them.
As far as more than 1 per table - doesn't it say in the general rules that they can limit you per table? It used to. I know you could use more than one card per table, but it was limited at one time.

the cheeseburger in paradise is sufficient to feed an emerging nation and was the best I've ever had.

As ddoll wrote it says Free Meal & Movie. I read about this being used on another board before I posted it here because it just sounded too good to be true. Apparently this was in the book last year too but I did not read it to know what a great deal this was.
If anyone has the Entertainment Book & is not going to use this little jewel of a coupon I would be happy to take it off your hands.

I read on another board someone mentioning them, but I didn't read any more than they had the coupons. Also, didn't read about anybody that actually used them. That is why when it sounded like you were saying free it didn't seem right, and from the experience I had with Entertainment Coupons in the past I figured it was another of their goof ups.
But no doubt about it, free is good! I'm still skeptical though - you'd think I was born in MO.

I am with you Rosebud it sounded too good to be true to me too so I did some searching & found some people that used this in 2005. I also found this on MouseSavers. I plan on using the coupon in May so I will let everyone know how it goes.
From MouseSavers.com
All of the 2006 Entertainment Books contain a "Meal & Movie Pass" for a FREE dinner (entree and beverage from a select menu at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville, Hard Rock Cafe, Latin Quarter, NASCAR Cafe, NBA City or Pastamore) PLUS a FREE movie at Universal Cineplex at CityWalk. Valid through 12/31/06.
Note that although the coupon says to redeem it at the restaurants, you will need to take it to the CityWalk Guest Services booth where they sell Meal & Movie passes and exchange it for the actual pass.

I was just checking elsewhere and saw that it actually was not supposed to be there, and at first they didn't want to honor it. I'm surprised they messed up two years in a row. Nice that they are honoring it though, and hopefully will continue to.
