I just tested it for 2004 and no problem...

But if you put in a PAST date it does count up -- so as your travel date arrives the countdown becomes a count-up, showing the elapsed time since your trip began.

could that be what happened?

I realised that I had two windows open.... that may have caused it to fritz-out.....

not sure, but all the timers were counting up in place of down on my screen.... maybe I am not over tax season yet.......
