Who's Going to the DL Marathon in September?

Right now my plan is to go as a Tagteam supporter :D

Will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn with Ursulinda :) If the group changes hotels, then we'll probably follow.

Well, I'm signed up for it, but not quite sure if I'll be going now. It seems I've overbooked myself on vacations this year and I'm going to have to cut somthing out. We will see how it plays out though. I am signed up and payed my fee though. :-)

I'm definitely in for the CMM. Doing the 1/2 instead of the full this time. I'm also signed up for the 1/2 at Disneyland. Nothing else booked, so it could get cancelled, but I figure I will be going.

DH and I signed up today. We will drive over on Friday and back on Monday. Not sure where we're staying yet. I've been looking at the Best Westerns that are on Katella off of Disneyland Drive.

Yay, Judy! :clap: That's great that you're going to get to do the Disneyland 1/2. The medal was on display at the WDW Expo and it is BEAUTIFUL! :D

I believe Barb D is signed up for Disneyland as well. I'm thinking roodad too. Belle was considering it. Can't remember if she signed up yet though.

Both Ursulinda and Bookwood will be here for the CMM too. :bounce:

Won't it be cool to be in on the FIRST race? The tough thing, though, is going to be the pressure to go EVERY year. I know they had something on the bibs at Disney and at the VA Beach Rock and Roll noting those who had done it each and every year. I will be such a sucker for that. . .

Oops! I think that was aimed at me. I left the WDW family tent area before everyone got back in. Sorry about that. I was a big baby and wanted to get my shoes off because I had a blister.

I'll be there next time, no matter what. I promise.

ddoll- just be sure to pack a pair of sandals in your "after the race bag" and you can get your shoes of quickly and hang around- I have found that's the best for me- although blisters isn't the reason!

Is there usually a place near the end of the race to leave things? This is all new to us so I'm not sure what to expect.

You'll get a "bag check" bag when you pick up your race packet. You can put warm clothes, sandals, dry socks, an extra water bottle, or anything else in it and usually it has a tie on that has you r race number on it. You drop it at "bag check" before the race and pick it up after the race. Only check what you really think you'll need- who wants to carry any extra stuff after 13 miles! (or 26)

Yea, at CMM , I would have loved to have some warm clothes after the race... but who knew it was gonna get so nasty out???? DUH.... i never thought of this for WDW.... great idea. Pam, GHJ noticed your sandals in the pic. I didn't know he was so observant...LOL.... Those weren't those Spenco ones, were they?

Thanks for the info. We'll start thinking about what would go in there. DH uses a white cane to navigate so that is one thing we'll probably put in the bag.
