We went to DL last May, it was our first time there and I loved it, but it went by too fast. Because it was our first time it took a while to learn the lay of the land, it seemed we just got to know our way around and we had to leave.
Now that we are into the new year I am thinking about and planning our 2006 travels. I have April booked at WDW for the Flower and Garden show and I want to go to the September pin event at WDW, and of course there is MouseFest 2006. All this planning and yet in the back of my mind I really want to go back to Disneyland. I keep thinking about what we saw and what I would like to see again..............yikes  I need to go back again
I am seriously thinking about cancelling April WDW and booking DL for end of March. As a matter of fact I have actually booked some of the hotels just in case. I have Candy Cane Inn booked for 6 nights.
For those DL experts out there (Joe/BetsyAnn or anyone else) what are your thoughts about March 30th to April 5th. Is the weather okay, are there any school breaks or special happenings that I should know about?
Decisons  decisions  decisions :D

Carol we went during Georgia's Spring Break last year - 1st week of April & it just happened to be when California went back to school. We were only there one day - Sunday but it was not that crowded. It looked more crowded to me at first because Disneyland has more rides in a smaller park than Magic Kingdom. Weather was nice. A little cool in the morning but warmed up nicely, we all wore shorts. I am with you, I wanna go back!

That's good to know, we do like sea food. I am disappointed that the Blue Bayou will be closed, we really enjoyed it last year.
thanks
Carol,
LA County will be out the week of the 10th, and Ornage County usually goes with their schedule. I would think the time you are looking at would be pretty good. As akdisney noted, crowds are bigger on Saturday than any other day, so plan a day at either DD or CA and then have a ball! As for weather, check weather.com; their 10 day forcast will be pretty much dead on as prediciting the weather for a week or so in California is a pretty easy deal.
I'm envious, but trying to get out there in August when we're due to be out to Ventura for my niece's wedding.

Hey Zakerdog!
That sounds really fun!! The only thing I can comment on is the Candy Cane Inn - did you stay there during your last trip?
That is my favorite non-Disney hotel to stay. We have enjoyed their complimentary breakfast in the morning and have found the rooms to be clean and well appointed. Plus, you can't beat the location and price.

Carol - I can;t wait to see Disneyland again when I go out as a Tagteam support for the DL marathon! It is my all time favorite Happiest Place On Earth - visited when it was opened just about 2 years - ahh, what memories!
Candy Cane is my favorite non-Disney hotel too. It has a kind of quaint feeling due to the wrought iron light posts which remind me of Main St and very clean. A little fountain at the entrance - pretty.
Wish you could join us in September!

Looks like a great time to go to DL with no big school district in the area out that time. As has been mentioned - Saturdays are always the busiest. My rule at DL is get there before they open - stay till they kick you out! ;)
I have found DCA to not be as crowded around dinner time say 5 pm and later. You can zip over there if DL gets too crowded for you.
You know me - I say any day at DL must be booked!!!!! :D
ETA: Hey Joe - we are looking at late July/early August for a DL trip!
Could happen BA, don't have the particulars quite yet but the planning will be going on before school is out.
Would love to get together if it meshes up (have to go to CA to meet someone that lives 70 miles north  )

:kracker: We are going back :mickey: :minnie:
I just booked our flight, we fly out of Toronto to LA, we will then rent a car and drive down the coast to San Diego for 4 nights, then back up to Anaheim. I have us booked into the Candy Cane Inn for 6 nights. Then we will drive to Las Vegas and stay 3 nights before flying back home. We leave March 26th. This is so exciting, I knew I bought that annual pass for a reason
