We are going on the Magic in April and will have from 9am to 6 pm available for a fun post cruise adventure before our plane departs Orlando. The problem - the day is the Saturday before Easter and I HATE crowds. I stopped going to WDW in October because it is getting too crowded. On our last Disney cruise we spent the disembaration day at Kennedy Space Center. Has anyone spent time in the Cape Canaveral area on the beaches? What else is there to do in that general area? Any out of the way Orlando stop that would not be flooded with tourists?

It will definitely be crowded in WDW, but maybe not everywhere. You might enjoy Animal Kingdom that day. If Expedition Everest is open, that part of the park will be jammed, but it should draw crowds from the rest of it. You could also have a great time in a water park. Also, Sea World might be a lovely way to spend a day.

Orlando has no scarcity of activity. Even a movie, a nice lunch and some shopping at Downtown Disney might be a great way to unwind before departure. I've not tried the beaches at the Cape but they looked nice when we stayed the night before our last Florida based Magic cruise.
