Today, we went to see this movie! Do you just want a feel good movie? Would you like to see a "cute" movie? Do you like great story telling? Do Michael Caine and Robert Duvelle still top your list of favorite actors? Do you enjoy leaving the theater with a smile on your face?
Then this is the movie for you.
A friend and I always rated movies based upon what it was worth in a ticket price. This one would be between full price and Before 6 pm at night pricing -- worth most of what they charge for a movie!

Tell me more! What age range is it for? I haven't been to a good movie in years. It would be worth $6.00 if it could get a smile on my face, lol.

I have not heard a single negative remark about this movie. Even my husband-- who generally dislikes "feel good" movies-- gave it high praise. I can't wait til I can see it.

Esmerelda - I would say 6, 7, or 8 would be the starting age based on some violence. To explain it any further would give away too much. If your child does well with some violence but does not like the really blood stuff we have seen lately then this should work. I believe there are some "bad" words but not too many. It is rated PG.
Trixy I hope you love it as much as we did!
And I forgot, maybe a Kleneex or two in your pocket might be helpful! :D

I saw this one recently and it is top notch. It is a whole family movie. The only reason younger kids might not enjoy this is the subject matter might not hold their interest. The violence is quite mild by today's standards and I don't remember much bad language. It is a fine movie.
This was a fantastic movie - we loved it - and saw it on video and the television - have seen it a few times and still love it - I cried in the movie - there's a sad part : (
We cried at home that night too - you see, it was Scamp's birthday the day before we saw the movie and he asked his best friend to go see the movie with us and then we'd have cake later when we got home - the 16 year old boy was turning 17 in a few weeks - it'd be a cake they could share. Well the boy had other plans - he said he was going to hang out with one of his other friends.
The morning before the movie - he called our house and wished Scamp a happy birthday and said he'll have to skip the movie but he'll come over later for cake - we went to the movie - came home - got the cake ready, no friend showed up. We lit the candles, Scamp made a wish and we started to eat the cake.
A knock came on our door - it was a neighbor - he asked Ken and me to step outside - the neighbor knew that the boy was Scamp's friend. The boy had drowned in a pond - he and the other kid went out in a small boat and it tipped over - they both went under - but Scamp's friend got his leg trapped in something under the water - weeds and such. He was gone
Instead of sharing cake - Scamp and Tramp both shared in carrying the casket at the funeral. Tragic.
Scamp is still upset over it - pray for them both please.

That's just so unfair to happen to the boy. I can see it being a sock in the gut for your son. It'd be for anyone. That's only natural. My sympathies to the boy's family and all his caring circle of friends.
