Tink23 and I will be heading to CS next Friday to celebrate her Sweet 16th Birthday (her B-Day is Thursday). We have not stayed at CS before so I am looking for a room recommendation. Tink23 loves Poly and to give her the "beach" theme with hammocks, etc. I'm hoping for a room in the Cabana's section. However, I am opened to any suggestions at this time. Of course, the usuals--close to a bus stop, pool, Pepper Mill, etc.
Also, does anyone have any must see or do's for this resort or any tidbits they can share?
Thanks everyone! :mickey:

Building 8B! Hammocks right outside the door, steps from bus stop #1, close to lobby and restaurants and right across the bridge from the main pool. Can't remember what room # we had in June, but it was "practically perfect in every way". I would only stay in this area if we ever stay at CS again(and we probably will).

I agree with cshore Cabanas are the best location. You are close to the Main Pool, Bus Stops, Front Desk, Gift Shop & Restaurants. My son & his friends rented the Water Sprites & while they had a great time the lake is fairly small so you can not go too fast. There are also Bikes to rent but this is not something I think is fun on Vacation. They do have a Spa onsite which is nice. Food Court is a love or hate. Very good food but you do have to pay 10% unless you order takeout. This is a very beautiful resort but if you are in the Rancho's or the very back part of the Cabanas you can be in for a long walk. Bus Service is very good though.

We also requested(thanks Snickerdoodlesmommy) to be in Cabanas 8B Room #8143, and we were steps outside of the pool area. With a bus stop clsoeby and the hammocks straight out our door. I loved to walk to the Pepper Maket at night with everything lite up, it was so gorgeous.

This past year we stayed in the Casitas bldg. 2 or 3 and it really was not the same. Last year we stayed in 9B and it really was fabulous. I would heartily recommend it. To be totally honest, staying in the Casitas made it feel like it really wasn't even the same resort. It lost some of that beachy, casual feel. So I would really try to get 9B. We had requested it and didn't get it this time, so we decided that if we can't be guaranteed 9B next time, we really wouldn't stay there.
Enjoy!!

When Zurg (DH) and I went in June 2002 it was our first time at Coronado Springs and we were in room 8131. I don['t remember which building it was in but it was directly next to the Dig Site Pool, with a hammock in front of it, and ground floor beach front ( so to speak) and we were soooo happy with it! We were there a very very short time so didn't 'have a chance to walk to the food court, we just drove, but the parking lot was right behind our building and everything seemed very close and we love the theming!
Good Luck!
