In a post a few months ago someone stated they saved "New" Bills 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's. While I decided anything over the $5 might be too much for me I decided to try the 1's & see how it worked. Each time I find a $1 bill that looks fairly new I take it out. I now have 30 1's! These 30 1's plus any others I save will be used for Maid Tips & Valet Tips while at Disney. So to whoever gave me this idea a big thanks, it really is working!

That's great! I started the ol' throw a $1 in the coin jar whenever I have a few in the wallet. So far, we have our first night's dinner taken care of! :)

Another saving idea I use is to put any money I get that's already past the "budget week" into vacation- how much it is decides where it goes. For instance my BIL ordered something from Bethanys school fundraiser, but because of schedule conflicts I didn't get it to him before money had to be in at school- I paid when he brought the money over yesterday- I added it to my vacation fund- I hadn't missed the cash so it must not be needed in the budget. A large example would be is I paid for voice lesson for friends DD because she forgot to send a check and it was my turn to drive that goes right in to the vacation savings account.

Glad I checked on recent posts here! Found a couple "painless" ways to save. DH and I automatically save change year round, but the idea of the new ones is something I'm going to try. I doubt I have the budgeting ability to save the larger bills. :-)

I found the coin wrappers at Office Max, and once in a while sit down and start rolling up loose change. Last time I did this, I rolled $68 in loose change! A great way to save money!
