To me the biggest change from California and Florida Magic Kingdoms is the SMall world. When I go to California I see a huge Castle like building. Well not pointed castle but very large and very brilliant looking. There are a lot of Shrubbery made into Characters and animals. I think thats my most favorite thing about it all. Then you get to go too two very large Ques to load these boats from two different sides. Makes for very fast moving lines too when its crowded. Then you go into this big building.
Contrast Florida: I feel like Im going into a warehouse. I cant begin to tell you how much better it is in Disneyland.
I have some Favorites from Florida and more from California and Ill try to talk about them later. (I have to go to Work soon and I want to give others a chacne to talk about some of them too.)

2 other rides they have in both are splash mountain and space mountain. I prefer splash mountain in FL. The story flows better and I prefer sitting side-by-side instead of in single file.
Seating is the reason I prefer Space Mountain in CA. In CA riders are side-by-side as opposed to single file in FL.
My comparison would be Pirates of the Carribbean; I really like the one at DL that you go past the Blue Bayou restaurant and then the drops. But the queues in FL are much better! And I have always loved the ride 'up' the waterfall to the exit in CA.

I got to agree with you Barb and Joe -- :hppmad: My pet peeve is Small World - how not magical is the MK version in comparsion to DL!
And the PoC is a great attraction at both - DL has the touches that I love --those drops, the quiet bayou at the beginning and then of course the ride up!
LisaG - a big yes to Space Mtn at DL -- when they had the music piped in it was simply the best!
And now for my pick - The Train! I love the 4 stops, I love the dinosaur panaroma, and it is a great way to snail yourself around the park! It also is a great way to relax when the park is crowded and hot!
Great Question Barb! Great Answers Lisa and Joe!

Barb, your description of the two castles reminded me of our experience.
When we ventured to the west coast after several trips to WDW, we were stunned at the difference in the castles! Our impression was that Disneyland was on a 3/4 scale. Everything seemed to be a smaller version of WDW. My husband went to walk to Tomorrowland and said he "overshot" it. He was walking fast thinking he had much more ground to cover than he actually did.
