Adding a photo

My inhouse computer techs are at college. I would like to add two pictures to the photo gallery and I don't have a clue how to go about doing so. We have an old scanner. I could get more information about that if needed :) . Is there anyone willing to talk me through this?

Collette, do you already have the photos saved to a folder on your computer? Or are they prints that you have there with you?

This makes all the difference on telling you how to proceed.

They are the prints I have with me. I need to start from scratch. Maybe I can get to the point where the photos are saved in a folder. I never thought of looking in the manual to do that. I'll see what I can do.

OK, I've been waiting for this answer... If I have a JPG or BMP file how do I post it to photos?

I do beleve you have to have them hosted somewhere (A site) that allows uploads. Im only repeating words I heard here. SO I dont know exactly what Im saying. I know when I added my picture to Character I had to let Tagrel help me do this. DO you know someone who has a site you can up load them to? SOmetimes your own internet provider has such space. I wish I had a better answer and Im hoping somone will come along with the best answer. FOr now start to see if you have such a site. IF not you may need to have Tagrel help yu. I know he has offered just allow him time to get to it.

Actually for the photo gallery, the pictures you upload can just be stored on your computer. Here is a step by step how to do that.

1. Go to the photo gallery and pick which category you want your pictures in.

2. open up that category.

3. in the upper right had corner you will see buttons :Add photo, Add photos, or slide show.

4. if you want to add just one picture pick photo, if more pick photos.

5. a new window will pop up.

6. if you know the exact file name, type it in, if not, choose Browse

7.This opens another window that says "look in" and usually your pictures are in a folder named, my pictures

8. Click on the picture you want

9. click OPEN and it will automatically put the file name in the box

10. Click upload photos and another window will open saying upload in progress

11. just wait

12. it will then say, adding pictures and then that's it.

I believe you only need photos saved to a website for use in your avatar or in your signature for this site.

Tag has made it really easy to post photos in the photo gallery!
