Fifteen day out weather forecasts are highly inaccurate. Nevertheless, I always link up to Inaccuweather.com right before a trip and dwell on the weather for the upcoming vacation. :peri:

Today is the 15 day out for November 30, the day before I arrive. However, so many of you will be enjoying the start of your own Mousefest experience by then.

So far the forecast for that day is "brilliant sunshine :sun:, high of 70, low of 52." For Canadians, this would be beach weather. :hammock: For those in the Northeast, it is a great relief from the no doubt third or 4th ice storm for y'all of the season. In the South, we need a windbreaker for 70 degrees, but we will take it. :o For AliciaG, it is get out the long underwear weather. For the rest of us, it is whoooo hoooo cares, it is WDW and we gonna have a blast! :mrgreenSanta:

On November 30, the weather is so nice, the Pleasure Island meet should be well attended.

Here's a shot from Mousefest 2003 of the group gathered at the Comedy Warehouse. I hope all of you get a great group shot of Mousefest 2005/Pleasure Island! I'll have to wait until the next day to catch up. :mrgreenSanta:

Thanks so much for posting this pic, Moley - I have never seen it before and it certainly brings back some good memories. Can't wait to make more great memories in just a few short days!

See ya real soon!

Sounds like fun, wish I wasn't coming in so late on Wed night!

I usually watch the 15 day forecast also. Let's see, the last time, it was saying low to mid 80's for my whole week. Then Wilma developed and everything changed. We were lucky to have low 70's all week!

As for me - shorts and short sleeve shirt until it's way too cold to stand it! You can always tell a Mainer at the night parades and fireworks!

Now that sounds like a near poifect forecast!!

Of course, I will need my cuddleduds for evenings, but that's a very small price to pay!!

See y'all in about 2 weeks!!!! I can hardly wait!!

70! Do I hear 75? How about 80? Oh heck it's better than snow so I'll take it!

PI is gonna be a hoot! Who's gonna sit next to the phone?

CM: Hi. Who's this?
Me: It's Lisa
CM: Who are you here with?
Me: *looks around & takes a deep breath* in this row we have....

For AliciaG, it is get out the long underwear weather.

:lmbo: That's so true, Moley! :lmbo: If these 70s keep up, maybe I can get by with only bringing one of my heavy coats.

It's so cool when a trip gets close enough to check the 15 day weather forecast!

Two weeks from tonight!!!!!! I can't wait!!!!

I've been to PI many many times, but I've never been to the Comedy Warehouse. It's going to be a blast to experience it for the first time with all of you.

Fifteen days out to December 1. Accuweather reports this morning that day will be “sun and clouds, high 77, low 57. It is shorts and tshirt weather for Thursday, December 1 and maybe switching to jeans and a hoodie for the evening.

“Today” we will all be looking to getting together for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Tonight on December 1, we can tour with Will before dinner, attend the Wishes Meet, hosted by Tag and Deb Wills, or we can amble over to the carousel at 11:30 p.m. and join in on Ray Sharpton's multi site meet there.

Last year at Mousefest, this was the group shot at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party.

Looks like it's going to be Stop, Drop, and Sweat! I've been to WDW a bunch of times in December and only once has the temperature been what I'd call comfortable (lower 70's) mostly it's been hot, hot, hot. So--since I'm coming remember to bring the s-kit: swimming suit, sunscreen, sunglasses, shorts, and sleevless...

GloriaK

Oh I hope it doesn't get too warm! My darn eczema will flare up big time if I get too hot. Crossing my fingers it will stay in the lower 70's.

Moley,

Your weather forecast reminds me of what happened on Sunday morning of Mousefest 2003.

We were staying at the Poly that year and we got up early to head out to TMK. when we got to the monorail the CM starter hopped over the rail and walked up to me very fast.

He smiled and said, "I gotta ask you where you're from!"

I realized why. Everyone was wearing coats or sweaters or hats or scarves or gloves or mittens...well, not everyone. I was in shorts and a short sleeve shirt. I saw few people in shorts that day but I knew that those who I saw had to be some of my Northeast Neighbors.

By the way, as I post this reply I noticed that the temp in my back porch is hovering around 28 degrees.

Sounds like great weather. I alway bring those cheap knit gloves and hat that roll up real easy in case it gets too cold at night.

Good story, Mike, and oh so true! I borrowed your fine shot of the Epcot Christmas tree for this day's weather report.

Inaccuweather.com updates our Mousefest weather with this for 15 days out:

November 30, brilliant sunshine, High 74, Low 57
December 1,sun and clouds, High 75, Low 57
December 2, A couple of showers possible, uh oh, High 75, Low 57

And for December 3, partly sunny, High 75, Low 58. You might need a hoodie when we meet for the Tree Lighting ceremony, hosted by Ray Sharpton, at 6 p.m. that night. But it will be a warm day for Brunch at the Ball and the Mega Meet. See you at Karaoke, too! We can warm up there with sake! :D

Thanks to Mike for this beautiful pic. We will be seeing it ourselves in two weeks!</center>

Okay so let me add..... A few years ago we were in WDW when we started out the morning in shorts by the afternoon the temp was hovering on freezing. Stayed that way for the rest of the trip with rain, rain and rain. I never know what to pack :D

Sheryl

I never know what to pack :D

I'm with you here BR. I will say that 75 degrees is shorts weather for this Northerner (is there such a word?), but if it gets cooler at night, I'd want jeans. Ah, too many decisions! LOL

Sheryl 1-2 pr of jeans and 3-2 pairs of jean shorts that way everything can match and mix!

I'm not sure what the temperature was on Thursday (It's been high in the upper 70's lately), but it was in jeans, and a 3/4 sleeve shirt during the day, and was pretty comfy. At night at MGM, it's started to get a bit cool, so I'd describe it as 'hoodie optional'. I'm sure around WS it would have felt much cooler.

I'm finding the real difference here depends on how sunny is it. Mid to upper 70's have been quite comfy, particularly if the sun is playing peek-a-boo behind the cloud.

GloriaK
11-19-2005, 05:55 PM
Thanks for the info Robin....as long as the humidity has passed I will be fine in jeans and 3/4 or t-shirt during the day. Last year the weather was great for me and I am hoping for more of the same. :minnie:

That's pretty much how I'd pack in the past. If I thought there might be a little cooler, I'd add in a long sleeve t-shirt, or a hoodie and light jacket for more layer options.

I used to have a light weight cloth 'raincoat' from London Fog that was perfect. Light enough to not be too heavy during the day, and just enough water repellent to protect me from anything sort of a deluge.

The weather looks great. Thanks for all of the updates.

WDW sells those one size fits all gloves when if gets cold.

They are really cheap, knit, stretch gloves and hats that don't take up very much space to carry around for those chilly nights.

They sell them at Walmart for about one dollar.

A Disney sweatshirt, I can wrap around my waist.

And a Walmart $.99 disposable clear rain poncho was big enough for me to use. And yet is small enough to be wallet size to carry in my back pocket. After using it for a day, I just throw it away.

Sometimes those nights at Epcot, around the lake, sure do get chilly if it is windy and chilly after the sun goes down.

Of course, it can only be magical weather for us next week.

Sincerely, Ray :)

I'm taking cuddleduds to be safe, only 2 short sleeved tops, sweatshirt, mock turtlenecks (which I wear when it's 65 ) and no shorts. I'm afraid it might be warm in the day time but chilly evenings, so I'll freeze! I was COLD during our end of October trip. Bought a sweatshirt then too . Disney must pull in loads of $ on sweatshirts!!

Never-the-less, it's all GOOD!!!!!!

I have this great raincoat that packs into its own bag - indispensible for Florida! It's microfiber, so it keeps the wind out when it's windy. That and a fleece and I'm set for night. I also travel with thin gloves just in case.

BTW - when I saw your MVMCP picture it reminded me - I was less than 15 feet away while you took this picture and sat at the parade right behind you guys! This year I will join in the fun now that I am a part of the group!

I use Orlandoweather.com or local6.com does the best job among the local news channels.
If the forecast calls for mostly sunny and Mid 60's, plan on it actually hitting the low 70's as the sun really
warms things up! Layering the clothes works the best!

There is suppose to be some rain at the beginning of this cold front today through tomorrow. So far it's just overcast and a bit breezy. I wish the rain would just move through already, so it's 'done' before you guys get here.

ETA: The rain has arrived. Everything should be nice and dry by the time you guy arrive.
