Does anyone else think the newest Designer, Rick is just over the top? The first room I saw him do was on Trading Spaces They Hated It. The Kitchen/Den he did on the show tonight was just as bad in my opinion. Does anyone like his style? I think it is just too much.

I've missed his two shows but one of them made the They Hated It episode, right? I never care for it when the designer has no concern for the homeowner's worries.

Is Rick the one that did the Barbados dinning room? If so, I liked that room. I didn't care for the chandilier, but the rest of it, I loved.

Yes that was him, and that room turned out better than he previous 2 rooms. I think they hired him just for the conflict. He might calm down yet. Look how much Genevieve has calmed down!

I did not see the room you are talking about Cheri. It will be nice to see a room that he does that looks like something you can live with.

Does anyone know if they have a website that shows these rooms per chance?

Here is the link to the Turquoise Dining Room - this show ended up on the "They Hated it Show"

I could not find the link to the tied dyed living room he did this past weekend.

I've only seen two of his rooms-- the turquoise dining room fiasco and a safari camping sort of themed family room. When he described the family room, I was shuddering, but it turned out ok and the family looked like they loved it. The turquoise dining room was awful-- just awful. I felt so bad for the homeowners when they noticed the painted candlesticks from their wedding. It was an accident, but it seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back.
