For those of you planning on going to the half marathon at DL in Sept 2006, have you heard of this special viewing spot for Fantasmic? I was told it only seats like 18 people and costs $41 pp, but is SOOO worth it. (I guess....:o )

Anyone interested in this? You need to call on the exact day, like for CRT.

Anything including dessert sounds great to me

I'm not a big fan of Fantasmic, so would not wait in line for the joy of seeing it...BUT...I'd love to try this special viewing with dessert!

Any other takers???

I'm hoping to hear from someone who's done this... 41 for dessert is a bit pricey and it's a ton of calories I really don't need... BUT i really don't wanna miss anything cool... so I'm still waiting for a report!

The reports I read all say they thought the special experience was what was worth the money. Apparently they treat you like a celebrity when you're in there and you get THE best seat in the park.

I think I'd be willing to pay it for a once in a lifetime experience like that.

Just as long as we do it AFTER the 1/2 Marathon then I'm in.

It might be more possible than Club 33.

Hey, maybe my younger brother's consulting firm are members. I think that I may just have to ask him. He is a "partner" afterall.

We did the Fantasmic Dessert seating this year in May, I can only say DO IT!!!

There are 2 ways to do it, one is the Balcony package which sells out within 5 minutes so be quick, there is only room for about 23 people on the balcony of the Art Gallery that was going to be Walts apartment at DL. The second option is the Waterside package that holds about 40 people, this is the one we did. The seating was great and the view was excellent. The desserts at both are the same.

These are the only seating option at DL, otherwise you stand or sit on the ground around the Rivers of America. It is very crowded. Again, I would highly recommend the Dessert packages, even if you don't eat the dessert, but who could pass up the chocolate dipped strawberries, not me that's for sure, I had my share and more!!

Jenine and I did it a couple of years ago. We did the balcony one. It was pretty good if your into Fantasmic. Jenine and I wound of leaving early though b/c we were so tired. The best part was, when we went to the Will Call desk to pick up our tickets, they had lost our reservation and over booked it. So, after a bit of complaining, they comped our tickets and gave us our own balcony.

I've actually done both...the reserved seating alongside the Rivers of America, where I got a lovely box full of gourmet chocolate desserts and some great coffee. And last year, DD and I did the balcony at the Gallery with the dessert buffet. It was quite lovely....you can stay up there until the crowd thins, and it has a great view of Fantasmic. They have a buffet chock full of delicous desserts, fruit and beverages like coffee (with flavorings and whipped cream), soda and water. It was worth every penny!
