Just ordered my Disney Reward Card. You must transfer at least 20 reward points to the card the first time but no max is stated. I called to check where exactly you can use the card (sort of like a gift card) but there is no current listing. Customer Service Rep said it was valid in most stores and restuarants in WDW & Resorts but not all. She told me I could call ahead to check. LOL. Sure I'll do just that very thing. :confused2:
I'm planning to use it for dinner at LTT. Anyone know anything else about the the Reward Card?
Thanks!
Sandy

Here's some info found on-line. Does this help?
Bank One will send Cardmembers a reward certificate or rewards card that can be redeemed anytime at Disney Store, disneystore.com, Disney Catalog, DisneylandŽ Resort, Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort and Disney Cruise LineŽ. There are no block-out dates for redeeming Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM.
Disney Dream Reward DollarsSM may also be used for the partial amount of a purchase - they can redeem 20 reward dollars toward an item and pay any remainder with cash or credit card.
How long does it take to get the card once you order it?

I ordered mine today 10/03/03 and expected delivery date is 10/09/03. When you receive the card you must call (888) 205-5922, a special phone number to activate, just like a new credit card.

I have award points on my Disney CC that must be used (or moved) by February. I had planned to wait until after Christmas the get them all put on at one time since my next projected trip isn't until July. Does this sound reasonable to you all? I have never had to deal with award points since DH collects all that kind of stuff on his work cards/trips ect. This one is mine alone and I want to use it to it's best advantage. I will be taking a trip in January (with hotel on my card- it ends the 19th will I still have time to transfer those pints with the others or should I do it seperately??

Sure, that will work. It's like a gift card. It is a one way transfer. It takes about 2 minutes to transfer the points and a week to receive. Once you have the card you can transfer additional points to it anytime. It's so new the service reps aren't well versed on all the in's and out's. We should get a letter explaining it all in our next statement. Hope this helps.

Thanks Sandy,
I have never had to deal with this kind of thing and want to learn so your input really helped.

that seems a lot easier than certificates.....

This new card sounds great. Those certificate were a pain to carry around, and waiting for them to arrive was a bit of a pain. I really like that you can transfer rewards to the card directly without having to wait (except for the for the card to arrive the first time).
Someone asked where you can use it - this is what I got on the back of the latest mailing explaining the program:
Q: How and where do I use my Disney Rewards Card?
A: Simply present the Disney Rewards Card at participating Disney locations to redeem Disney Dream Reward Dollars for Disney merchandise
and services. Disney Dream Reward Dollars may be redeemed for most Disney merchandise, park tickets, hotel nights, food and more at:
Disneyland, and Walt DisneyWorld Resorts (including Theme Parks).
Disney Store
Disney catalog
Disney On lce (merchandise locations only)
Disney Magazine and FamilyFun
DisneyCruiseLine
DisneyStore.com
Disney Interactive
Walt Disney Collectors Society
Disney Movie Club by Mail
Each time you use your Disney Rewards Card, the amount of Disney Dream Reward Dollars used will be deducted from the value on the card.
Each time you redeem, you may specify how many Disney Dream Reward Dollars you would like to use from the card. You may also combine
Disney Dream Reward Dollars with other forms of payment. For example, you can redeem twenty (20) Disney Dream Reward Dollars for a $50
purchase and pay the remainder with cash. Or, use your Disney's Visa Credit Card and earn DisneyDream Reward Dollars. You may redeem up
to the Disney Dream Reward Dollars balance currently available on the card.

I've called Bank One twice to get my Reward Certificates to redeem at WDW. I haven't seen them yet. :( I'll call again today but at this point suspect they'lll arrive too late to be used for this coming trip in October.

You should get your card in time. I read that you can go to Downtown Disney and get your reward card there, at least this month. I read that on the Budget Board at the DIS webpage. http://www.disboard.com/

wow, that card sounds great.... so easy to use. I hope whoever tries it first gives us a report on how well it goes.
Maybe I should start now for our trip in late Nov...So, I order the card and they send it and then they can just add it on electronically, on the same physical card that I already have in my possesion?

They said that once you have the card you can add on instantly any amount $10 or greater (up to $10,000! ) I'm thinking I won't have to worry about that upper limit!
Anyone get their card yet ? I ordered mine Friday the 17th

I ordered mine on 10/10 and received it before 10/17. I thought that was pretty fast.
