21:20:22 [James] We've stayed in the Sports twice and Movies once and will be staying in Music in Aug.
21:20:27 [WillCAD] The All-Stars are Disney's Value resorts, meaning that they are the cheapest places on site.
21:21:17 [WillCAD] The three of them are all in a line, in the Animal Kingdom area. They share one security checkpoint, but each has a main building with a lobby and food court.

21:26:58 [Sheryl] I think the theming at All Stars is awesome and kids really love it

21:28:04 [WillCAD] That's what the chat is for Tracy. Moderate rooms are about 10% to 15% larger.

21:28:45 [WillCAD] Moderates also tend to have more food options than the AS resorts.

21:31:06 [tracy] room size usually isn't a problem because there is only three of us, but Ido not want to be on vacation and share a double bed with DH, we are used to our king sized bed!! so I was wondering what the room (bed) set up is, are they usually just 2 double beds? and if there is a king, is that it?

21:32:29 [WillCAD] You can get a king-size bed at the AS. But that's it; you could always request a roll-away, but they are limited in number.
21:32:29 [Kaycee] Seems like I remember hearing something about the soap at the AS. Not like the Mickey soaps at the other resorts. Is that true?
21:32:34 [DisneyPam] tracy - most rooms are double/double. Generally the accessible rooms are the ones with king sized beds.
21:32:40 [James] Handicapped rooms have king-sized beds
21:33:30 [WillCAD] Yes Kaycee. The AS resorts come with a dispenser in the shower with body wash/shampoo stuff, instead of the Mickey soap. You do get Mickey hand soap for the sink.
21:33:40 [James] The soap is in dispensers - liquid, but you also get Mickey soap
21:33:40 [Sheryl] You know Kaycee, I don't remember about the soap
21:34:03 [Kaycee] As long as I get some Mickey soap, I'm happy!!

21:37:29 [James] We had absolutely no problems with the bus service
21:37:48 [WillCAD] That's a matter for debate Tracy. I have never gotten good bus service at the All-Stars but others say they have.

21:40:42 [WillCAD] I have had such bad bus service from the All-Stars that I always drive to and from the resort. I use the busses for park hopping and so forth, but to get to and from my room I drive.

21:44:39 [Sheryl] My boys like to take there beach towels to the pools, so we barely use the resort towels

21:44:54 [WillCAD] Room towels at the All-Stars are kinda like Kleenex. Small and thin.
21:45:24 [Sheryl] I will say All Stars was one of the best deals we ever got for a resort....Nov 2001 $49 a night
21:45:32 [Kaycee] I'll make a note to take our beach towels then. My guys are like Sheryl's anyway, they like to use their beach towels.

21:46:24 [Sheryl] Yes Tracy, it was in November around Thanksgiving and for that rate, I got my inlaws there own room...LOL

21:47:05 [James] We found housekeeping to be excellent at All-Stars. They brought us extra towels and pillows.
21:47:14 [Sheryl] we had adjoining rooms and they were both spotless
21:47:23 [WillCAD] I got the $49 rate in Sept 2001. Code CZV, it was the best code Disney 's put out in the past 3 years.

21:49:16 [Sheryl] Yes, Sharon, seeing how we were only staying with my inlaws for 2 nights...MIL said only get 1 room, my boys were small and could sleep 1 kid in each bed.

21:49:36 [Sheryl] I was not crazy for that, and was able to get the 49 rate, so I booked 2 rooms

21:50:24 [WillCAD] There is a pool-side bar that looks pretty nice Sharon. It has two sides, one outside at the pool and one in the food court.
